FAMILY CONNECTIONS CENTERS

The Bellevue School District has a number of Family Connections Centers to help families find and receive the services they need to send their children to school ready to learn. These services range from emergency food boxes to a student’s first new pair of sneakers to English classes for parents. In addition, the Centers provide information and referral services such as connecting families with counselors, putting them in touch with food and utility assistance programs, or sharing information about free flu shots, low-cost dental care, tutors, holiday programs, parenting classes and more.  The centers have:

  • Human Services Specialists - link families to services and community resources for basic needs such as food, clothes and shelter.
  • Family Involvement Liaisons - Link families to academic programs and support/facilitate communication between families and the school.
  • Wrap Around Coordinators - Link families to community support and focus on school readiness and family involvement.

Bellevue Big Picture's Family Connections contact is at Phantom Lake Elementary:  Judy Hunsberger, 425.456.5679 or hunsbergerju@bsd405.org

ALL Bellevue School District families are eligible for the services provided by the Family Connection Centers.  Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES THE BELLEVUE SCHOOLS FOUNDATION DO?

We raise funds to improve student learning through district wide academic initiatives, curriculum material, training opportunities for teachers, and an array of programs that meet students' special needs. Our donors help bridge the gap between the basic funding provided by the State of Washington and what Bellevue students need to truly excel.
