Global Leadership & Cross-cultural Exchange Summer Program
FIUTS is a nonprofit organization based at the University of Washington, Seattle. We will be hosting a two-week summer program from  July 23 - August 3  on global leadership development and cross-cultural exchange with students from across the U.S. and around the world. This program is offered for students ages 13-17, more information available on our website at  www.fiuts.org/slci . In cooperation with the school, PTSA volunteers prepare, produce and pay for this directory. Introducing the Big Picture School SHARING CLOSET.  We are putting together a donation collection of DRESS CLOTHES ONLY for students to borrow needed items for their Student Led Conferences or Internship Interviews. Throughout the year Big Picture kids work on many engaging projects that also offer great learning experiences. Here is one of the projects in high school: Students are working in teams to design a colony on a moon or planet in our solar system and have a plan for how to generate electricity for that colony using specific features of their celestial object. Planned Absences Form Reminder – If you plan to take your student out of school for a vacation or family event you need to fill out a Pre-Planned Absence Form and have your student get his/her teachers to sign off on the absence then return the form to Attendance at least 1 week prior to the absence.
