BPS Gives Thanks for Bellevue Schools Foundation Grants

The Bellevue Schools Foundation is delighted to announce the 2018-19 Arts, Enrichment & Innovation grant awards. Eighty-six (86) awards were made totaling $93,800, an increase of $18,000 over last year. We are thrilled to be able to support these innovative learning opportunities in and out of the classroom and appreciative of our parent donors who help keep this program alive. The following 6 grants totaling $2895.00 have been awarded to Bellevue Big Picture School.

Big Picture Seattle Shakespeare Co. Hamlet Workshop for Senior Class 
Seattle Shakespeare company will provide a 3-day workshop at Big Picture to provide students an interactive experience with Hamlet.

Big Picture Video Production Resources Grades 6-12 
Enable access to video production resources for all students to complete projects. Resources will also be utilized by faculty and staff to create engaging new curriculum.

Big Picture Planetarium Field Trip for Eighth Grade
Walking field trip to visit Bellevue Community College Planetarium to deepen students understanding of Space by attending the school specific show.

Big Picture Art with Heart SEL for Grades 6-12
Counselor and Art teachers will utilize Art with Heart, Social Emotional Learning curriculum.

Big Picture Treehouse Project for Sixth Grade
Field trip to Tree House Point located in Issaquah to launch a project in IMT1, where students will view and take measurements of an actual tree house before they design their own scaled model of a tree house.

Big Picture H.E.Art Gallery for Grades 9-12
The High-schoolers Expressing ART (H.E.ART) Gallery will run a charity popup gallery where proceeds are donated to Bellevue School District’s art programs.
